Well, the weather cooperated on September 17th for the A Mother’s Kiss annual Golf and Dinner Outing. We all had a great time, and raised money and awareness for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Many thanks to all who donated, participated, or sponsored. Your generosity helped in so many ways and will help us continue our mission of helping childhood cancer patients and their families any way we can.
We also had a very heart warming visit from two young supporters during the evening festivities. Jake and Julia Madsen (10 and 6) of Sayville took money from their savings a few months back and decided to make some money for A Mothers Kiss. With the help of their Grandmother Carol Madsen, they put together a back to school basket and sold raffle tickets. Their hard work paid off and through their efforts, they were able to raise $600 for the organization. It was exciting to see them receive a standing ovation from the audience. Jake and Julia, you rock and you’re about as awesome as two young people can get. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
