June 17, 2007   -  Our annual picnic was held in June on an absolutely perfect day for fun and food for over 100 participants.  The event was held in cooperation with "Our Little Heroes" the pediatric oncology parents support group affiliated with University Hospital at Stonybrook.

There were characters, music, rides, games, cotton candy, face painting and all the fixin's for a great day of fun.  We even had a visit from the Ridge Fire Department and the children got the chance to go inside a real fire truck and talk with the volunteers that took time from their busy schedules to visit with the kids. 

Our friends at the Ridge Fire Department also kept the fires going and the barbeques rolling as the kids were treated to burgers, hot dogs, and other BBQ delights.  We can't thank them enough for helping us once again.

And of course, our annual BBQ would not be complete without our famous pie eating contest.  What a mess, and what a load of fun.

We thank everyone who donated their free time to make this event a great memory for the children and their families.
